Friday 21st : Football for Peace: cancelled

Sadly due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ve cancelled our football match on Friday 21st September.

However, all over the world, people will be playing football matches to mark the International Day of Peace, encouraged by Peace One Day, the organisation that inspired our festival.

Why don’t you organise your own peace match and let us know about it? We’d love to hear from you at littlebigpeace@gmail.com.

“Our One Day One Goal initiative aims to encourage football matches all over the world on Peace Day. One Day One Goal matches celebrate cooperation, unity and the power of football to bring people together on Peace Day. For Peace Day 2010 there were over 3,000 One Day One Goal football matches in all 192 UN member states and beyond – more than a fourfold increase on 2009. This initiative also encourages Unity Matches: matches that focus on using football to strengthen communities and support peace-building efforts.” www.peaceoneday.org
